Le Braye is a family owned beachside bistro offering simple, fresh & delicious food & drink. Le Braye prides itself on a friendly and professional attitude towards hospitality; it is a place to enjoy great food, welcoming service and good company, all wrapped up in the unique magnificence of St Ouen’s bay.

St Ouen’s bay has been a part of Baker family life long before taking over the café in 2012. St Ouen’s beach is where Annie met Jo, where they raised children in the surf; battled windy dog walks and enjoyed countless perfect sunsets with friends. With a longstanding passion for food and drink and a background in hospitality, taking over Le Braye in the spring of 2012 was a natural next step.

A love for St Ouen’s influences every aspect of Le Braye: it is a place designed for everyone who feels this way. Whether it’s watching balmy midsummer sunsets on the terrace with a bowl of local crab linguine and a pichet of our Gascon ‘vin du patron’ -you may even witness our Jazz quartet-, or enjoying a midwinter breakfast nestled by the wood burner, Le Braye allows you and all the family to enjoy St Ouen’s bay in all its seasons.

The food pays homage to British seaside classics whilst Mediterranean influences nod to our more southern geography. The ethos that drives the kitchen and chefs is to serve food that is always fresh, wherever possible locally sourced, and consistently unfussy and delicious.

Annie’s experience as an interior designer and Jo’s as a property developer has combined to create a gorgeous space to eat and drink. Between the polished concrete floor strewn with cockle & limpet shells to the sandblasted pine cladding, zinc ships’ lanterns and pastel toned Lloyd Loom chairs, Le Braye serves as a comfortable and relaxing space for quick lunches, intimate dinners, large parties or cream teas with granny, and the dogs are also welcome!
